Let's Help Those In Need This Christmas!

14/12/2025

Hello everyone!  It’s that time of the year again! We hope you are all starting to get into the Christmas spirit.

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for the support we’ve received throughout the year. We recognise that for some, this time of year can be challenging, which leads us to an important topic about giving back and helping those who are in need.

As you all know, the community and children of Perthshire are at the heart of everything we do at Be The Best, and they will always be our top priority.

The nurturing environment we have created has instilled valuable lessons in both our coaches and the children, including respect, kindness, honesty, and empathy. While these principles may seem fundamental, many children have yet to experience an environment like this along with the sense of belonging that Be The Best offers.

It’s heartbreaking to realise that there are still children and young adults in our city who may go without food or wake up without presents this Christmas. Therefore, we encourage everyone, whether you’re a member or not, to give a helping hand to those in need during this festive season and to kindly donate some goods. It doesn’t matter how little or many items you give, every single one will go an extremely long way in helping the less privileged and if we all come together and give then we could produce a very special gift to those in need.

We are thrilled to partner yet again with two fantastic local charities: Perth & Kinross Food Bank and Buttons & Bows.

Perth & Kinross Food Bank is in need of items such as:

  • Canned meats and fish
  • Canned meals
  • Small jars of coffee
  • Jams
  • Long-life juice
  • Custard or rice pudding

For a festive flair, they would also appreciate:

  • Lentils
  • Stock cubes
  • Canned ham or chicken
  • Tinned desserts
  • Biscuits or shortbread
  • Large bags of crisps
  • Holiday sweets
  • Chocolate oranges

Buttons & Bows is a charity that supports babies and young children up to 16 years old. They would greatly appreciate any toys or new and gently used clothing.

We kindly ask you to consider any items you may have that you no longer need, as they could truly make someone else’s day or year.

We will be collecting donations on Monday, December 15th from 4pm to 7pm and Wednesday, December 17th from 4pm to 6pm at 7 Acres, Letham, right next to the astroturf pitch.

Let’s try and FILL our van! ?
