Important Update from Liam

21/06/2026

Hello members,

I hope this note finds you in good spirits. The past couple of days have been a whirlwind, and I wanted to take a moment to reach out to all of you.

If you weren’t already aware I’ll be relocating to Gillingham for a two-year contract. This means I’ll be away for a while, but I want to reassure you that nothing will change and I will continue to drive the standards in the background remaining to be fully committed in overseeing and running the academy from a distance as I’ve ever done before. The only notable change is that I won’t be physically present on the pitch. This is a decision that was very difficult for me to make firstly leaving my family who come first in everything and secondly this amazing academy. This has been my pride and joy for 5 years now and something I’m ridiculously passionate about. I love what we’ve created, but I know there’s still so much more to come from this academy, and I really look forward to stepping it up again in the season ahead, with some really exciting in the pipe line. Perth is all I’ve ever known so I felt it was now or never to experience something different and when Gillingham came knocking it was simply an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.

I have full confidence in fellow co-owner Ross, head coaches Jordan and Stevie, along with all of our other coaches, to maintain the strong foundation we’ve built together. Our academy is thriving, and I know there’s still so much more we can achieve. It’s vital that we maintain the high standards we’ve set for ourselves during my time away, and I have no doubts we will.

There will be a few changes made to ensure everything runs smoothly in my absence, and I will provide those details soon when everything has died down. I would also like to arrange a meeting with all parents. I would prefer to do this in person, but I understand that isn’t realistic with everyone having different busy schedules, so a Zoom call may be much more practical. This meeting will be to discuss our plans and ensure that the levels of efficiency and professionalism remain, along with any questions you may have for me to answer.

Hopefully, I’ll be back up the road quite often, and if it aligns with the academy's schedule, I’ll make sure to swing by.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us through social media, email, or WhatsApp.

See you all soon!

Liam
